Just a few pictures to open your "appetite" for the city of Logroño.
The bridge over the Rio Ebro - this is the entry point of the city of Logroño. |
The sunlit façade of the cathedral Santa Maria La Redonda over dark grey skies. |
Interior of the Catedral |
Calle Laurel - a.k.a. "tapas street" on the capital of the Spanish wine, La Rioja. |
Porta de Santiago: Santiago Gate, an ancient gate of the city walls. |
A monument to Santiago's pilgrims. |
Iglesia de Santiago - this is the church where every pilgrim should stop for a moment of prayer and silence. |
It didn't take long for the skies to pour down. And our tour of the city was cut short... That's Santiago's way of saying that it was time for a rest. |
Thx for Sharing. Brings back some good memories of Logrones.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Logroño pics! I unfortunately timed my over night in Logroño to coincide with the September wine festival. It was so crowded with crazy drunks that I couldn't really enjoy it.
