Logroño

Just a few pictures to open your "appetite" for the city of Logroño.

The bridge over the Rio Ebro - this is the entry point of the city of Logroño.
The sunlit façade of the cathedral Santa Maria La Redonda over dark grey skies.
Interior of the Catedral
Calle Laurel - a.k.a. "tapas street" on the capital of the Spanish wine, La Rioja.
Porta de Santiago: Santiago Gate, an ancient gate of the city walls.
A monument to Santiago's pilgrims.
Iglesia de Santiago - this is the church where every pilgrim should stop for a moment of prayer and silence.

It didn't take long for the skies to pour down. And our tour of the city was cut short... That's Santiago's way of saying that it was time for a rest.

  2. Thanks for the Logroño pics! I unfortunately timed my over night in Logroño to coincide with the September wine festival. It was so crowded with crazy drunks that I couldn't really enjoy it.
